Noah Berrie

Biography

Noah Berrie is a London-based sound artist, composer, and classically trained violinist working across installation, video, and performance. His practice explores the interplay between sound, space, and perception, often blurring the boundaries of comprehension and auditory experience.

In collaboration with Angelica Jopling, Berrie created Not Here, a sound piece of intertwining, circular narratives emanating from found objects dispersed in space. Inspired by walks through an empty city during COVID, the work reflects on human absence, with disembodied voices in conversation. As the listener navigates the space, meaning gradually dissolves, questioning how sound reverberates in ways beyond perception.

Berrie was an artist-in-residence at Alexander McQueen’s Sarabande Foundation (2023–2024) and completed his MA at Stanford University’s Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) in 2022. He was in residence at Audium Theatre of Sound in San Francisco and performed internationally across the US, Mexico, France, Ireland, and the UK.
