BIOGRAPHY

Antonia Caicedo Holguín is a Colombian artist based in London whose work weaves storytelling into vibrant, expressive brushstrokes. Her work blends fragments of her Colombian heritage with her experiences in London to create pieces that explore the intersections of life, memory and imagination. Influenced by contemporary artists like Paula Rego and Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, as well as old masters such as Manet and La Tour, her forms come to life through oil paint and unconventional materials like coffee grounds, natural Latin American pigments and found objects.

Caicedo Holguín received her MA from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2023, where she was awarded the Sarabande Foundation Emerging Artist Fund and the Olive Award. Recent solo exhibitions include Before and After Coffee, Barranquilla, Colombia, and This Seat is Taken, Seoul, South Korea.
