Jelly Green
Jelly Green is a British-New Zealandish contemporary painter working between Suffolk and London. She has been mentored by artist Maggi Hambling since she was 16 years old. Green’s work is rooted in her deep connection to the natural world, shaped by her time spent in jungles and rainforests across the globe, from Brazil to Borneo, Sri Lanka to New Zealand. Her large-scale paintings celebrate the grandeur of these ancient canopies, whilst also addressing the devastation caused by deforestation and, more recently, wildfires.
Recent exhibitions include BURN, Noho Studios, London (2022), The English Garden, Somerleyton Hall (2019), Art for Cure, Bankside Gallery, London (2019), DEVOUR, Gallery@oxo, London (2019) and Conflagration, Snape Maltings, Suffolk, (2024).
