Nina Ogden

Biography

Nina Ogden, a Welsh artist living in East London, draws inspiration from her background in the film industry. Her art explores deception, trickery, and illusion, delving into the nature of simulated reality and its relationship to truth.

 After completing a BA at Wimbledon School of Art, she received her master’s in Painting from the Royal College of Art (2023), supported by the Paul Desty Scholarship. She has been selected for the Discerning Eye prize, the Re:Drawing Oriel Davies prize, the National Open arts prize and the Prospects drawing prize. She was awarded a place on the Artsadmin Franko B mentoring scheme which concluded with a residency at the Wysing Arts Centre, Cambridge.

Recent exhibitions include the Hari Art Prize, Subtitle Labs at Omer Tiroche Gallery London, the National Eisteddfod of Wales, Y Lle Celf, Pwlleli, and Transcendence at Gate 45 in Dubai.
